Shell Island is a natural, undeveloped island between the Gulf of Mexico and St. Andrews Bay in Bay County, Panama City Beach, Florida. Shell Island is a protected natural preserve and part of St. Andrews State Park.
It can only be accessed by boat, and the Shell Island Ferry is the easiest, safest, and quickest way for visitors to reach Shell Island.
Shell Island is an oasis of wilderness far removed from the crowds and buildings you’ll find elsewhere. This wildlife habitat is strictly protected to keep it beautiful and pristine. The whiteness of the sand and the clarity of the water that surrounds it makes it easily one of the area's most beautiful attractions.
