Welcome to Barefoot Beach Preserve, Florida
Barefoot Beach, ‘second best beach in America,’ is wild & wonderful. It's home to numerous animal species, including the land-dwelling gopher tortoise and a variety of sea turtles that nest on the beach. There are lots of different birds to watch and also a chance to see dolphins, manatees, crabs, sea stars, and snails.

Barefoot Beach Preserve is a spectacular county park in Bonita Beach. Barefoot Beach Preserve County Park is located at the end of Barefoot Beach Road off of Bonita Beach Road. The drive to the beach will take you through an amazingly beautiful neighborhood.
When you reach Barefoot Beach, you feel like you’re in a private enclave. Barefoot Beach is 342 acres of natural land and you can walk a mile along the beach to the end.
Neither crowded nor too much commercialized, it’s a lovely quiet destination. It’s one of the last undeveloped barrier islands on Florida’s southwest coast.
Though it’s easy to reach, Barefoot Beach manages to escape the traffic and large crowds that other beaches usually see, making this a true treasure for those seeking a quiet, peaceful day on the Gulf of Mexico.
That's not to say that Barefoot is free of any and all modern convenience. Anyone with children will be happy to note that the park has public restrooms, showers and even concessions. Barefoot Beach Preserve County Park is the perfect beach choice for those wanting to enjoy a more natural beach environment surrounded by wildlife and greenery.
