Sarasota’s 35-mile stretch of sand and surf boasts some particularly stunning gems. Six keys (barrier islands) hug the coastline, all with gleaming-white, sugar-soft sand and glorious sunsets, but each with its own distinctive vibe. The Sarasota and Venice, Florida area includes the barrier islands of Longboat Key, Siesta Key, Lido Key, Anna Maria Island, Manasota Key and Casey Key. These islands are home to some of the most spectacular beaches in the world. In fact, Siesta Beach on Siesta Key was ranked America’s No. 1 beach by Dr. Beach!
Sarasota is home to fascinating museums, beautiful gardens, restaurants, and a diverse choice of attractions, making it a fun weekend destination for couples and families.
